Terms of use

The short version

• Inset is in early preview. You can explore looks and save projects for free. Ordering and payment are not open yet.
• Previews are illustrations made with AI. Real fabric color, texture and fit can differ, so look at physical swatches before you order.
• You keep ownership of your photos. You let us store and process them only to run the service.
• Upload only photos you have the right to use, and use the service fairly.

Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Deep Forest AI, LLC, which operates Inset at shopinset.com ("Inset," "we," "us"). By using the website, the design studio or our ChatGPT and Claude connections (together, the "service"), you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. You must be at least 13 to use the service. If you are under 18, you must have a parent or guardian's permission.

Early preview

Inset is in an early preview. Fabrics shown in the studio are Inset's own design references, not a stocked catalog. The studio provides planning price ranges. Final price from your quote. Delivery and tax are not included, and the full order total is unknown. Ordering, swatch delivery and order tracking are not available. No payment is taken, and nothing is made or shipped, until ordering opens. We may change, limit or pause features at any time, including daily preview limits.

Previews are illustrations

The studio uses AI image editing to show how a fabric might look on your furniture. Previews are illustrations, not proofs or guarantees. The AI may change small details in the scene, and color, texture, pattern size and fit are approximate. Screens and lighting also change how fabric looks. Always check physical swatches before ordering.

Measurements

Custom cushions are made from the measurements you provide and confirm. You are responsible for measuring accurately and checking every dimension before you approve a specification. Our measuring guide shows how. A photo cannot provide exact sizes. Suggested sizes use typical dimensions for furniture identified in your photo. They are editable guesses, not measurements. Check every size with a tape before confirming it. Our automated comparison can flag differences but does not confirm physical fit. Early price ranges use typical sizes until you confirm your measurements and answer any consistency question.

Orders, when available

When ordering opens, every cushion will be made to order to your approved specification. Prices, payment, delivery estimates, cancellation, remakes and returns will be set out in the order terms you see and accept at checkout, and those terms will govern your order. Nothing in the studio is an order until you complete checkout and we confirm it.

Your photos and content

You keep all rights to the photos and information you upload. You give us permission to store, copy, resize and process them, and to share them with the service providers described in our privacy policy, only as needed to run the service for you. That permission ends when you delete the content, except for copies providers keep as described in the privacy policy.

You confirm that you own the photos you upload or have permission to use them, and that they do not include other people's private information. Please photograph furniture, not people.

Fair use

Please do not:

• upload anything illegal, offensive, or that you do not have the right to share;
• use the studio to edit images for purposes other than planning cushions;
• try to get around usage limits, access other people's projects, or interfere with the service's security;
• copy, scrape or resell the service or its content, or use it to build a competing service;
• use automated tools against the service, other than an authorized assistant connection.

We may remove content or suspend access that breaks these rules.

Accounts and assistant connections

Accounts use one-time codes sent to your email. Keep access to your email secure, because anyone with it can sign in. If you connect Inset to ChatGPT or Claude, the assistant acts on your projects through the tools you authorize, and your use of that assistant is also governed by its provider's terms. Assistant connections cannot place orders or take payment. You can end assistant access by signing out of all devices or deleting your account.

Our content

The Inset name, logo, website, studio, fabric swatches, guides and other materials belong to Deep Forest AI, LLC or its licensors. You may use them only to use the service.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error free, or that previews will match finished products. Warranties for products you order will be set out in the order terms.

Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms as the service grows, for example when ordering opens. We will update the date above and, for meaningful changes, tell account holders before the changes take effect. Continuing to use the service means you accept the updated terms. You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Florida, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
